MADIST Rules – InstaCup
Welcome to MADIST InstaCup, a head-to-head knockout tournament based on live football
data and MADIST’s proprietary scoring algorithm.
How does InstaCup work?
1. Match selection: The tournament is based on a previously played Premier League
match in the UK.
2. Key moment selection: The cup is divided into 6 moments. Each moment
corresponds to a preselected minute, during which a face-o between two users will
take place. The user with the higher score at that moment advances to the next round.
In case of a tie, the user who registered rst will proceed.
3. Player score calculation:
A player’s score at each moment is calculated as follows:
MOMENT Score = 100 × [(Current score - Previous minute score) + (Next minute score -
Current score)] / 2
4. User selections: For each round, users must select:
o 2 players they believe will have the highest score
o 2 players they believe will have the lowest score
The rst player in each pair is considered the primary selection. If both users choose the
same primary player, only the user who registered rst retains that choice. The second user
will have their alternative player used instead. Users cannot share the same player as a
primary selection for the same role (high or low score), but it is allowed for two users to have
the same player if one picked them for high and the other for low score.
5. User score: Each user’s score is calculated based on the selected players’ real
performance data.
6. Ranking and winners: Scores do not accumulate between rounds. Each round’s result
is standalone, and determines who advances and who wins the nal round. Strategic
selection is crucial in every single round.
